The Ninth London Photo Walk Soho Sun 3rd Oct 2010
Soho Photo Walk – 12.00 midday Sun 3rd Oct 2010
We had horrible weather on this walk and had to cut it short. Still though, we had a great turnout and some lovely photos.
We’ll leave the map up incase anyone is planning photo walks in Soho: MAP
Our choice for picture of the walk this time goes to Lee-Anne Inglis (NoAngel) for her photo Soho 15. Congratulations Lee-Anne!
(we love a good title for your images – see Artimus’ shots, so if you’re chosen for our pick of the bunch then please send in a title)
Here’s some of our other top shots from the walk:
We ended up in the Crown and Two Chairmen for lunch (Spherical Images Photography):

Oh wow! Thank you, I’ve never won anything before not that I’ve technically won but still… ;o).
I have funky names for my picture on flickr but out of sheer laziness didn’t update them on pixie

I’m sorry but that winning picture is dire. All the rest of the ones posted here are better by a mile, technically and artistically.

Thanks James for your thoughts. Our intention for the London Photowalk group was to support photographers at any level, be it beginners or professionals and encourage their creativity.
It would be contradictory of us to pick our favourite photos based on their camera skills alone.
We chose this photo as we felt it was thought provoking and merited it on its artistic skills.
Thank you for taking the time to comment and I hope to see you at the future photowalks.

Thanks for the confidence boost James. My photo may not have been to your taste and I accept that along with any other criticism as I can only learn from it . However you could have a bit more eloquent about it and provided some helpful articulate feedback.
It takes a lot of courage for anyone to post their photography in the public eye. I’ve spoken to a few photographers on the walk who are too scared to take that step and comments like your’s will only discourage them further. Personally it took me 3 walks before I found the courage to do so and even now I don’t post my photos from every walk.
As Dark Knight said (sans the swearing ‘coz I’m too ladylike), just chill out!!
